Countdown to Crisis: Looming Government Shutdown Threatens Jobs, Services, and Stability

Millions of Americans Face Fear and Uncertainty”=

Right now, millions of Americans are absolutely terrified because what’s going to happen in about 24 hours is scary. Federal workers brace for potential government shutdown and mass layoffs. Don’t think a lot of people realize that it isn’t just the government workers that are affected by this. Everybody will feel the impact in some way.

Federal Workers and Contractors Brace for Impact:-

Millions of people could be laid off. Okay? millions of Americans could be without a job in the next 24- 48 hours. That previously before the pandemic when when all the federal workers were working in the office he was doing very well then the pandemic hit people started the whole work from home thing and his business struggled he’s got it you know going fairly well now but if the federal government shuts down this business this this building is going to be empty probably empty completely empty This is why millions of Americans should be concerned about this event because the federal government has only until Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. before they shut down if there’s not an agreement.

Trump and Democrats Locked in Budget Standoff:-

The clock is ticking on a possible government shutdown. The usa government runs out of cash in the dead of night on tuesday if lawmakers can’t reach a deal to hold the government open. With just a few days to find the compromise, President Trump and congressional Democrats are locked in a stalemate over the GOP’s current government funding plan. Here’s something you may not know. The White House has threatened Democrats that if they don’t reach an agreement and the federal government gets shut down, when they decide to reopen, there’s a good chance a lot of these workers that were temporarily laid off or pretty much just sent home, they will not be called back.

Healthcare the Major Sticking Point in Negotiations:-

A few days away from the end of the fiscal year and a potential shutdown, right? There going to be a government shutdown.Because the Democrats are crazed.

Trump: “Democrats Want to Raise Your Taxes”:-

They want to raise everybody’s taxes at a number that’s not sustainable. It’s the only time in the worldever seen a party that wants to raise taxes. You know, grew up in a family where watch politics and always liked it from the time was very young, but ‘d always see politicians say, We will lower your taxes. The one thing, the one thing they’re concerned about, mean, look, Republicans have total control of Washington. You guys have control of the House, the Senate gives you. Well, when you say control, so we need 60 votes for this and we have 53 Republicans. So, we need seven Democrats. and those seven Democrats and others are asking for an extension of a tax credit on people who get the Affordable Care Act and some other governmentbacked healthcare. So, are you willing to what they’re really asking for is they want to pay for illegal aliens that have come into our country by the millions and get onto the ROS and they want to pay and our people don’t want to do that. Our people are taxed enough. You know, we just approved the largest tax decrease ever in the history of our country, including the extension of the previous Trump you know, Trump tax cuts.

White House Threatens Permanent Layoffs:-

The tax cuts that we just approved, they want to use those tax cuts to give the money to illegal aliens, people that came into our country illegally and that are leaving the country. So, what President Trump just there at the end, there’s been a self-deportation. And if you don’t know what this is, what’s been happening is there’s been a huge change since the Trump administration took over where illegal immigrants and you know, many others aren’t actually allowed to get certain benefits. As a result, these states are cracking down and not giving the benefits to illegal immigrants.

Federal Employees Left in Limbo:-

Washington on Monday as the clock is ticking to fund the federal government and avert a shutdown, which would go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1st. So, we’re coming up. Says leaders in Congress have from both parties are set to meet with President Trump at the White House on Monday afternoon. Mr. Trump canled an initial meeting that last week citing the Democrats unserious and ridiculous demands. One thing that we have learned from the Trump administration over the past, you know, eight months is that they are not going to bend to what Democrats want to do. That’s where Democrats are having a very difficult time that they are they have no power at this point because the Trump administration is saying that okay that’s fine if you don’t want to agree with what we have in our bill we’ll just do a government shutdown and eventually you’re going to side with us but let’s keep reading this says a GOP bill to extend current funding levels for 7 weeks passed the house earlier this month but failed in the Senate where Republicans need Democratic votes to advance legislation.

What Services Will Continue—and What Won’t:-

Just like President Trump said, there’s 53 Republicans in the Senate. They need 60 votes. It means six or actually seven Democrats have to vote alongside Republicans or the bill will not pass. The White House threatened last week that a government shutdown could lead to largecale layoffs of the federal workforce. The Office of Management and Budget sent a memo to federal agencies telling them to consider reduction in force notices for employees in programs, project or activities that won’t be funded during a shutdown.

Postal Service May Experience Delays:-

If the government shuts down at all, 25% of my office will likely be let go. There is no way to tell how many people for sure will be laid off in the end, but my boss has informed me that the funding that we were getting under the previous administration is gone. And as a result, my job is no longer safe. Their job is no longer safe. And millions of Americans are waiting to determine is the federal government going to be shut down in just the next 24 to 48 hours. And if it is, who is going to be coming back to work because they’re deemed essential? And who will be ne will never be called back ever again? That’s the big question.

What a Continuing Resolution (CR) Could Do:-

A government shutdown happens when Congress can neither pass all 12 appropriations bills needed to fund the government nor pass a continuing resolution or a CR, which typically keeps funding levels static while lawmakers hustle to finish their work on spending bills. So essentially what they’re trying to do right now is do something called a CR, a continuing resolution where the funding from the previous year just kind of rolls over for the next handful of weeks and they’re they’re trying to get it to the the middle of November because that would give lawmakers more time to negotiate. f this works, then the government doesn’t shut down and they continue to negotiate and potentially reach an agreement before workers are laid off and before parks are closed and libraries are are stopped and right, you get the idea. However, it could have more devastating effects on the federal workforce than previous shutdowns, giving the administration’s orders to undertake mass firings. Does go on to say programs like Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid will continue along with the postal service, Veterans Affairs, hospitals, and clinics, and immigration and border patrol security activities among others.

Final Thoughts: Who Comes Back—and Who Doesn’t?:-

But and here’s a big one, federal employees will likely go without pay, however, and a string of agencies will see their services hampered by furls like the RS and the Small Business Administration. A landlord isn’t going to wait, you know, weeks and weeks with no payment, with no hope that the money’s coming. Keep in mind the last time President Trump was in office back in 2018 2019, we actually had the longest government shutdown ever had, 35 days.
