Smoke, Fire and Looting in Kathmandu:-
There is smoke on the streets of Kathmandu. There are flames, broken glass and noise of looting. The doors of Pashupatinath temple are being knocked as if there is a conspiracy to set the faith on fire. The Hilton Hotel has turned to ashes. The historic wall of Parliament House is collapsing. The malls are empty and people are stealing ACs and refrigerators from there and running away. Seeing all this it seems as if Nepal itself has decided to burn Nepal. Everybody resigned. The prime minister fled the country. The cabinet was dissolved. The President is missing. But the fire is still burning in Nepal. The pictures that are coming from Nepal are disturbing the world and today we are going to tell Gingee of Nepal that hey Gingee, this is your Nepal. That Nepal, that country which was once a symbol of Buddha’s peace. Today it is burning in the fire of anarchy. You raised your voice against corruption, nepotism and social media bank. That voice was right. We also gave voice to that voice.
Power Vacates — But the Fire Remains:-
This fire, these flames, this vandalism, this looting, this is not your Nepal. Whatever is happening in Nepal in your name is not good for your future. And imagine yourself, would you want a Nepal where tourists are scared? Where investors are scared and want to run away ? Would you like poverty to spread on your streets ?
Your Anger Had Roots — But the Method Is Wrong:-
Your anger was towards some people. But if Nepal burns in this anger, then your future will also burn. Now the question is not what did the previous government do? The question today is, Judge, what are you going to do? This Nepal is yours. You have to live in this Nepal. But what is happening in Nepal is not a revolution, it is like burning one’s own house. That was a dialogue in a film that I started doing out of compulsion. But now greed is tempting you and that is why before this burning and looting starts enjoying you. You have to realize that this is your home. You have to stay here. It must not be destroyed.
An Appeal to Jinji: Protect Your Home:-
The issue needs to be resolved and not the country should be destroyed. Because what is left is scary and now it is your responsibility to save Nepal, Jinji.
The Spark: Social Media Ban and Months of Smoldering Anger:-
About how the spark of corruption in Nepal is turning into a story of destruction. Whatever happened in Nepal did not happen suddenly. This anger or fire had been smoldering for many months. On 4 September 2025, when the government banned 26 social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, the judge considered it a conspiracy to suppress his voice. The judges and the people of Nepal were already troubled by corruption and unemployment. The youth came to the streets playing cards. But after this, when the voices were raised about corruption, nepotism, unemployment and Nepal’s economy. Then the government opened fire. 20 children died. This incident became the spark. Thousands of judges gathered outside the Parliament building. There was a clash between the government and Jin.
Bullets, Deaths and an Uncontrollable Blaze:-
Many died. Many were injured but after that their anger reached the seventh sky. On 9 September the Prime Minister resigned. But Genji’s anger did not tire or subside. This spark had turned into a forest fire.
Landmarks Lost: Parliament, Hotels and Media in Ashes:-
Protesters burned down the 1903 Parliament building, which once housed the PM. The Hilton Hotel burned down. Kantapur Media House was burnt down. The Nepali Congress head quarters were set on fire. Started looting the malls. People started running away after stealing TVs, ACs, refrigerators and liquor bottles. The house of billionaire businessman Upendra Mahato was looted. There was vandalism and, most saddeningly and most disturbingly, an attempt was made to break the doors of the Pashupatinath temple. That temple which is not just a symbol of bricks and stones but is a symbol of the faith of the entire Hindu society. The police system collapsed. Prisoners started escaping from jail. People snatched police uniforms and started roaming on the streets.
Collapse of Order: Police, Prisons and Masks of Authority:-
Nepal Army imposed curfew, issued a statement with a picture of Prithvi Narayan Shah in the background and then the question arose whether monarchy is returning to Nepal? But Nepal is currently going through an atmosphere of anarchy. There are more than 22 deaths in Nepal. And that is why from today the question is that when the objective is accomplished then it is your responsibility to save Nepal. Otherwise this revolution may turn into suicide.
Lessons from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh:-
It may happen that Nepal also becomes like Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. What will be the future of Nepal? If we want to understand why this violence does not stop, then we will have to understand Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. In Sri Lanka, in 2022, youth started protesting against corruption and economic mismanagement. Initially the protest there too was peaceful. But then it got violent. Government buildings were burnt, malls were looted. The result was that the economy shrank. Inflation increased to 70%. There was shortage of everything from food to fuel. Foreign exchange reserves were depleted and 25% of the population was pushed into poverty in Sri Lanka. Children in Sri Lanka started becoming malnourished. Unemployment reached its peak. The IMF provided a $3 billion dollar package but recovery remains incomplete. Nepal ‘s economy also depends on the incoming tourists. is on tours. Remittance is a big importance. Remittances have an important role. But if tourism stops, investment stops and GDP falls by 3-4%, then unemployment, which is 12% today, will also increase. The number due to which judges protested in Nepal may increase to 20. Poverty which already affects 20% of the population. It may happen that it gets doubled and hence the judge will have to understand. We will have to understand this from Bangladesh only.
Anger or Greed? The Line Has Been Blurred:-
Where the judge had protested against the quota system. Expressed anger on corruption and unemployment. But when violence broke out after police suppression, 1500 deaths occurred. More than 2000 were injured. Sheikh Hasina had fled. But after this the economy also faltered. The minorities are scared there. Investment is stagnant. Unemployment has increased. If even Nepal could not stop it. If this violence continues then the demand for monarchy will increase. There will be no stability. Foreign interference will increase and if anyone gets crushed in all this, it will only be the people of Nepal. And we are not saying all this out of our own will. All this is being said after looking at the pictures of the looting, looking at which it cannot be understood whether it is anger or greed. Because people are entering Kathmandu’s malls and shopping complexes without any fear. The liquor store was evacuated. The protesters are saying that we took what we needed. The government did not take anything. But the question is whether this is a fight against corruption or a naked dance of greed. Kantapur Media House was burnt because protesters said it was not raising the voice of youth.
Stranded Tourists and International Alarm:-
But now we have to think whether setting fire made the voice louder? Why was Pashupatinath temple attacked ? If the anger is against the government, then what was the purpose of rattling or breaking the doors of the temple? This temple is not just a religious place but also the cultural identity of Nepal. Breaking it would mean erasing Nepal’s history. Nepalese will have to show sympathy towards the tourists. A tragic picture emerged when an Indian Volleyball League host named Upasana Gill was stuck in Pokhara. His hotel burned down. He appealed to the Indian government. Stranded Indians should be rescued. These pictures are disturbing and Judge, do you want to make this Nepal? Where tourists get scared, investors run away and the economy sinks. Look, let me say it again, we stood with you.
A Final Warning: Rebuild, Don’t Ruin:-
Your anger was justified. But where will this looting, this vandalism take you ? You have to save the future of Nepal. Today we tell you the age of Nepal. It is in your hands to save Nepal or destroy it. You did it. You told the world that you now had the power. You made the government bow down. But now is the time to transform that power into creativity. Nothing will happen in Nepal through looting and arson. Decorate the streets of Kathmandu again. Some people have come out who were cleaning the garbage this morning.
Call to Action: Transform Anger into Creation:-
But a large number of them are still spreading chaos. We have to be careful with those who are freeing and releasing the prisoners. Recreate Parliament. Keep the faith in Pashupatinath intact. Your anger was justified then but make it constructive now. If anger is channelized in the right direction, it can develop the country. Speak calmly. Find a solution. Nepal needs the peace of Buddha , the beauty of the Himalayas and your enthusiasm. This country is yours.
